And I want to officially address this idiotic obsession with trying to "debunk" Kyle Lambert's talented work!
I determined it was real in about 2 minutes doing my own research. I am so annoyed at all the trolls fighting for a spot on the fake/hoax bandwagon. Here's the information that I used to determine the claims that it was fake were bloated horse dung. First, there was my cause for investigation - the images weren't exact. So what did I find?
1) Kyle is fascinated with photo-realism
2) Over 200 hours of work went into it (probably talking lots of detail work)
3) Procreate has a proprietary rendering engine and awesome brushes
4) Procreate allows you to work at 4K
5) The reference material was high resolution (providing lots of detail to reference)
Summary: The experienced artist fascinated with photo-realism, using a high resolution photo reference, on powerful software optimized for a single platform, allowing him to work at an industry standard ultra-high definition resolution with sophisticated real time brush rendering technology, investing an obscene amount of time onto a single piece of art, did not jeopardize his career for "15 minutes" of internet fame.
No, this is not a hoax. It's not fake. It's not clever trickery. This talented artist invested an insane amount of time to create beautiful art on an iPad... with his fingers. Why are people so anxious to tear others down? Is it jealousy? Are human beings generally terrible? Is the internet a troll breeding ground? So many questions unanswered :/ Anyway, the original video is below.
