I'm coming as a big fan of comics and superheros, what do you have for me?!
Superheroes are legendary when it comes to the onomatopoeia! Get your hands on a superhero themed trick or treat bag, pre-loaded with a few gifts. Each bag comes with themed deck of playing cards, kick juggling ball, puzzle cube and 10oz tumbler (see gallery below).
I love the Con, but I love Halloween more, what do you have for me?!
This year as you make merry with treats and tricks, celebrate the lives of those who came before or simply scare the pants off everyone you meet - do it in style with a monster themed bag pre-loaded with a plush bear, kick juggling ball, puzzle cube and 10oz glow-in-the-dark tumbler (see gallery below)!
If you love tabletop games, dice or functional paper weights, there's one more prize!
The "big" prize: a set of 2 3/4" wooden D6 dice in a "Wham!" superhero bag. I will also have a couple small rolls of stickers to hand out during the day while they last.
Cool! So how do I get one of these items?
Glad you asked, every good raffle needs some guidelines. I want as many people to have a chance to win as possible so there some limitations, too. There are 4 ways to get a ticket with a single individual able to earn up to 3 tickets. There are only 1000 tickets and a single individual may only claim one prize. If you have more than one winning ticket but have already claimed a prize, a new ticket will be drawn to find a new winner. There are 20 prizes in total, so 20 people will have a chance to win a prize. The first winner will get their pick of the bunch, until the last winner claims the last prize.
Follow me on Twitter for 1 Ticket
I will be monitoring Twitter the day of the Con. Come to my table, tell me who you are and follow me on Twitter. When I get the notification, I will give you 1 Ticket. If you liked me before October 17th, it can be difficult to track. However, if you bring your smartphone or tablet and pull up my Twitter page while signed into your account to show me you follow my page, I will give you 1 Ticket.
Like me on Facebook for 1 Ticket
I will be monitoring Facebook the day of the Con. Come to my table, tell me who you are and like me on Facebook. When I get the notification, I will give you 1 Ticket. If you liked me before October 17th, it can be difficult to track. However, if you bring your smartphone or tablet and pull up my Facebook page while signed into your account to show me you like my page, I will give you 1 Ticket.
Let me pick your brain for 1 Ticket
I'm going to have a little pile of short surveys asking about your gaming preferences and habits. If you complete this small form, I will give you 1 Ticket. If you don't have the time or willpower to fill out my little survey, I will let you buy 1 ticket for $1. Note: buying a ticket is only as an alternative to filling out the survey and each person may only buy 1 ticket.
The "Fine Print"
I understand that not everyone will want to (or be able to) be at the Seminole Community Library at the same time on Saturday. However, in order to keep things simple and fluid there are some guidelines about this raffle you need to be aware of. Edit: at about 2:30PM (starting a little earlier so as not to compete with the children's costume contest), you won't be able to earn yourself anymore tickets and I will start calling out the winners at the table. I will also push the winning numbers to Facebook and Twitter, so you can check if you've won while grabbing food or enjoying the weather. The prizes are claimed on a first come, first serve basis. I will call out a winning number and wait approximately 1 minute before calling out the next number. If your number is called first, but you aren't at the table to take the Dice (for example), a winner called after you may claim that prize. If you wanted a green bag but get called 12th, you may have to pick between red and blue, etc. The people who have committed to being present at the table will have priority. You will have a window of approximately 20 minutes, the amount of time it will take to call out all 20 numbers, to claim a prize for your winning number. Once all 20 numbers have been called, any number called that has not claimed a prize will be redrawn.
For those of you who like to play by the numbers. The dollar value for the Superhero Prize is around $4.10 and there will be 9 of these available, around $4.50 for the Halloween Prize with 10 available and the Dice in the "Wham!" bag is valued at about $25 and it is the only one.
This raffle will be held at the Seminole Community Library at 3PM on October 17, 2015
